BACKGROUND

Born to two impoverished commoners within the slums of Hela's capital, Saviryn was never given anything in her life without working to take it herself. She taught herself both to read and later to practice magic, she left Hela on her own at only 15, finding her way to the Realm of Towers to begin practicing her magic unimpeded. Becoming quite notable for her natural skill, brilliant mind, and strange personality, Saviryn carved out a life of study and research for herself. After an experiment gone awry, her tower and years of research were destroyed after she mishandled artifacts retrieved for her by the crew of the Tidebreaker. Rescued by Jacques and with nowhere left to go, she would join the crew - at first blaming them for her failure and demanding a large cut of their profits to pay for her to eventually rebuild her tower. Over time, however, she warmed up to the crew - even getting romantically involved with Jacques - and decided to remain with them indefinitely.
